    This position is a Business Analyst IV position, and will focus on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) Issuance function of Securitization Operations reporting to CSS Operations Management.



    Job Information


    Conduct day-to-day operations using existing procedures. Examine, assess, and document business operations and procedures of the business unit. Relate these procedures to IT/IS systems and applications that are designed to enable the business unit to accomplish its objectives. Assist business unit staff by developing reports, downloads, and analyses from discipline-specific systems and applications. Provide input to IT/IS specialists in development projects to assist in developing specifications and functionalities in IT systems. 

    Key Job Functions


    • Assess business operations and processes of assigned office or business unit to identify inefficiencies in procedures, information flows and handoffs, decisions, communications pathways and ways in which systems supporting these can be enhanced.
    • Participate in meetings and projects with client staff, project managers, and developers to automate, upgrade, or expand applications that accomplish business operations.
    • Create, design, and format process flows, and other information needed to describe required system changes for development, QA, and other units; serve on project team accomplishing these functions.
    • Provide support to production operations by executing transactions using documented procedures. Track production problems and troubleshoot them to sustain the application.
    • Develop queries, analyses, or reports from applications for operations or management staff of assigned business unit(s), or develop specifications for such queries or analyses to be performed by others.
    • Serve as team, project, or business lead for new or modified business processes.





    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required


    Minimum Experience  


    • Minimum 6  years of related experience



    Specialized Knowledge & Skills     


    • Detail oriented with the ability to create, document and/or follow process flows, business requirements, procedures, test plans, use cases and other documents.
    • Good communications skills both verbal and written
    • Good project and time management skills
    • Mortgage Industry experience is preferred
    • Experience processing FRBNY wire transfers and/or experience processing structured finance payments is preferred 
    • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to analyze data
    • Technical and reporting skills and experience with data query tools is a plus 
    • Must be able to work independently and with cross functional teams to deliver results
    • Must be highly self-driven, self-organized
