    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Job Information

     

    Work as a collaborative team member in the development of the Common Securitization Platform (CSP). Represent Securitization Operations with various internal and external stakeholders. Examine, assess, create and document business operations and processes as assigned, e.g., develop reports, data analysis, create procedures, develop process flows, perform analysis of systems and applications, etc. Provide support in defining requirements of the platform and subsequently validating platform functionality. Position may occasionally be required to work outside normal business hours, including early morning shifts.

     

    Key Job Functions

     

    • Develop and document business operations and processes for Securitization Operations.
    • Lead projects/meetings with internal/external stakeholders to define and develop platform, processes, procedures and functionality
    • Collaborate with design, and format technical specifications unit to develop descriptive text, process flows, and other information needed to build platform functionality.
    • Develop queries, analyses, or reports from applications for operations or management staff of assigned business unit(s), or develop specifications for such queries or analyses to be performed by others
    • Assist tax team with its quarterly and annual production process as needed
    • Assist in system development, enhancement, and testing related to platform and tax systems
    • Work as a collaborative team member with other Securitization Operations Analysts, Business Architecture and Delivery to enhance platform and processes.
    • Identify and communicate technical matters to clients, upper management and internal departments including:
      • Independently generate and review MBS income accruals using a tax system, ensure accuracy of the data inputs, and correctness of the results
      • Generate U.S. federal income tax forms and statements for MBS and for foreign holders, and assist with project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Education   

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, etc) or equivalent years of work experience
    • Master’s degree in business or other discipline is a plus

     

    Minimum Experience  

    • 0 - 3 years related work experience
    • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills     

      

      • Excellent communication and writing skills
      • Strong knowledge of Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables
      • Detailed oriented with the ability to create, document and/or follow process flows
      • Good project and time management skills
      • Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyze the data
      • Must be energetic and enthusiastic and able to work flexibly and autonomously within our fast moving environment.
      • Must be highly self-driven, self-organized
      • Preferred Skills and Experience:
        • Mortgage Industry experience is helpful but not required
        • Processing Structured Finance payments is helpful but not required
        • Experience with financial modeling, including tax amortization, IRR cash flows, REMIC structures, and data analysis is helpful but not required.
        • Experience with Bond Math is helpful but not required
        • Technical and reporting skills and experience with data query tools is a plus
