    Job Information

    The Enterprise Risk Management function at CSS is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Analyst to support end-to-end oversight of the Operational Business and Corporate Services functions at CSS. This role will provide support/subject matter expertise in identification of operational risks, evaluation and development of effective internal controls and will assist in providing recommendations to manage and mitigate operational risks. This role will support oversight over the core operational business functions and Corporate Services areas and will act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that risk management issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved. This role will also oversee and monitor ongoing risk management practices in the first line to ensure they are in place and sustainable. In select cases, this role will also help develop and execute targeted control testing as needed.

    Key Job Functions

    • Identify and report risk exposure in the business areas and provide guidance to senior management on the ongoing risk profile, potential risk triggers and associated remediation activities.
    • Work with teams to ensure effective risk management is in place.
    • Work with Internal Audit and Compliance to foster open communication and transparency.
    • Perform RCSA for internal teams and support AICPA SOC assessments
    • Oversee development of metrics and systems, as appropriate, to quantify and measure operational risk
    • Work with the business to develop plans to mitigate operational risk
    • Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that risk management issues/concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved
    • Oversee and implement expectations for first line business accountabilities for operational risk including monitoring and testing to ensure they are in place and sustainable
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of meaningful reporting on Operational Risk issues, gaps, trends and overall risk profile
    • Act as trusted risk advisor to business teams supported





    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics


    Minimum Experience  

    • Minimum 6 years of related work experience
    • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.


    Specialized Knowledge & Skills     


    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with ability to effectively work across multiple business lines and functional areas
    • Strong communications skills, with the ability to challenge the business areas on operational risk as well as the ability to convey risk exposure and requirements to business partners
    • Working knowledge of overall operational risk methodologies, including risk assessments, issue management, loss event reporting, and other related activities.
    • Strong communications skills, with the ability to challenge risk & business professionals as well as the ability to convey risk exposure and requirements to business leadership
    • Strong business acumen with strategic business mindset
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment that presents a high degree of subjectivity and change
    • Ability to influence across reporting lines.
