The Company

 

Common Securitization Solutions (CSS) is seeking an experienced Project Management Lead to join our team of talented professionals. This is a full-time remote opportunity. 

 

CSS built and operates the largest and most advanced mortgage securitization platform in the world, supporting the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS) of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

 

Supporting 70% of the mortgage-backed securities in the market, CSS provides best-in-class single-family issuance, bond administration, disclosure, and tax services. We support a broad portfolio of products for our clients with full lifecycle management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Job Information

CSS is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Lead to join our PMO Execution team to support critical enterprise-wide projects.

 

Key Job Functions

  • Manage day-to-day activities related to managing one or more projects from initiation through completion. Support projects for large teams including Delivery, Infrastructure, Data Management and Business Operations. 
  • Meet regularly with business and technology owners to define business and technical requirements, understand initiative scope and approach, and help the team execute projects through to successful implementation.
  • Plan course of projects, including milestones, critical path, resources required, cross-functional dependencies, and use of technology and tools and document in project plan following established project management methodology.
  • Continuously monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders (using relevant Agile and waterfall metrics). Keep senior management advised of significant trends and findings and other issues. Provide recommendations and drive issue resolution.
  • Monitor project progress and engage closely with key stakeholders in business, technology and project management team to provide transparency and advice on emerging trends, risks and issues.
  • Facilitate team meetings and key Agile ceremonies.
  • Design, modify, install, and/or maintain metrics that drive and measure team performance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes as needed.
  • Coordinate and administer assignments, monitor team progress, and maintain schedules. 
  • Help the team to remove roadblocks and manage dependencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education   

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

 

Minimum Experience  

 

  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience working in a large scale IT production and development environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Technology projects
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.

 

Specialized Knowledge & Skills     

  

  • Excellent strategic project management skills (schedule, budget, staffing, risks, procurement)
  • Excellent communication and presentation development skills
  • Previous large scale project management experience mandatory
  • Ability to manage enterprise level business and technology transformation projects mandatory
  • Working knowledge of technology concepts including enterprise architecture, SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience working in Agile and Hybrid environments
  • Ability to design and manage the implementation of programs that meet organizational goals and objectives
  • Ability to plan, direct and supervise the work of others
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members
  • Ability to collect/analyze data and formulate business recommendations for senior management
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, matrix environment
  • Top tier management consulting industry background preferred
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with key MS products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Must be able to travel into the office for client meetings. Candidates local to the DMV is not required, but preferred.

Pay Range $156,500 to $181,000

CSS’s pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.  CSS offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
